Spidertracks put their spiders to the test across Alaska

Spidertracks are putting their spiders to the ultimate test next month. From May 3–21, in conjunction with Northern Lights Avionics, and Land and Sea Aviation, spidertracks will be performing an “Air Tour” of Alaska. They will be traveling to tradeshows and various areas of Southern and Central Alaska, tracking their journey with a Spider S4.

Spidertracks has announced a partnership with Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS) in Germany. On April 6, 2012, spidertracks signed with DFS, making them the official distributors of spidertracks throughout Europe.

Spidertracks launches new Android software

Spidertracks has launched Spidertxt for Android, the latest software feature for their GPS satellite-tracking units. Spidertxt for Android allows spidertracks users to send and receive SMS messages, to and from any cell phone on the ground, while in flight.

Top Las Vegas tour operators choose spidertracks

Spidertracks is the preferred aircraft tracking system for three major helicopter tour operators in Las Vegas. Spidertracks has announced that Sundance, Papillon and HeliUSA, are now tracking their helicopters with spidertracks – portable, and simple, Iridium tracking units – when flying around Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.

Spidertracks aids global environmental campaign

Slovenian pilot and marine biologist, Matevz Lenarcic, is completing an around the world flight to expose disparities in global water supplies, and the source locations of black carbon emissions. From January through March, Lenarcic will fly westbound around the globe, being tracked in real-time, by Palmerston North based GPS company, spidertracks.
