However at the recent Aero Friedrichshafen meeting of aviation industry leaders, it was noted that a strong investment in emerging technologies is positioning the industry for long-term expansion. This is especially true of communication technology.
We’ve created an eBook that looks at the ways aviation businesses communicate. It groups them into four tiers:
- Radio – this is the most common method, and the one that’s been around the longest. The eBook illustrates that while radio is still a viable communication tool, emerging technologies are set to replace it.

Air traffic is expected to at least double by 2050. This increase means there’ll be a greater need for updated communication technologies.
